Teaching of Tenrikyo

The Musical Instruments for the Service

Nine musical instruments are used in the Tenrikyo Service.

The men's musical instruments are the flute, cymbals, wooden clappers, large drum, gong and small drum. The women’s musical instruments are the koto, shamisen and kokyu.

The Europe Centre conducts "Sunday Manabi" on every Sunday unless other events are held, where anyone can practice these musical instruments.
